The story takes place in the "Weird West" in the last 19th century. The history of the Weird West is identical to real-world history, up until July 3, 1863. On this date, a group of American Indians from various tribes, led by a Sioux shaman known as "Raven," performed the Great Ghost Dance in an effort to drive out the European settlers. This ritual created a conduit to a spiritual realm populated by powerful malicious entities known as the "Reckoners."

The ultimate goal of the Reckoners is to turn the entire Earth into an evil, haunted wasteland — literally a Hell on Earth. However, the Reckoners cannot directly enter Earth's realm unless the overall fear level of the entire planet becomes sufficiently high. To this end, they use their powers to create monsters, madmen, zombies, and other creatures and villains that will sow fear and terror throughout the land.

The unleashing of the Reckoners has had a number of important side effects. Magic was revealed to be real, although it involves challenging otherworldly spirits, "manitous". These same manitous can possess a recently deceased body and reanimate it, creating a "Harrowed". Harrowed beings are sometimes under the control of the spirit (who uses the opportunity to spread fear) and sometimes under the control of the deceased being. Scientific progress rapidly advances as the Reckoners support experimental designs that normally would not work. This progress drives Deadland's technological level from historical levels to a "steampunk" setting. The Reckoners create "ghost rock," a mineral that burns hotter and longer than coal and supports the steampunk technology.

No need. By what I have heard you couldn't recruit the force team you needed, and they had to throw you some home teams, and then you lost decisively against even odds.

I faced 2-to-1 odds there last December at a three-sided game. Both teams ended up allying withing the first hour and remained that way throughout the game. With a field of regular Viper players (and a couple of teams from TPB that wanted to play for me) I scored a decisive win...against 2-to-1 odds for two days.

Based on that I don't believe that you could field a large enough force, or face the tactical challenges, that my events, and the regular players at them, present.

Maybe after you have a few more years, and accomplishments, under your belt.

Um I called you out and you weren't at tactical yet, so give me a freaking break Robert.

A game I helped write? I dont write the missions, man. I help write a storyline and player cards. None of which give me any tactical or strategical advantage. However you must have talked with some people out there since you know that I help Viper by writing storylines. None of that information is just floating out there.

Guess it doesn't matter much since you pissed the promoter off and it doesn't appear he is going to let you command against me.

As for your team mates and the players who run with them, I still hope that they will come out and play a REAL scenario game, but I am sure you will lead them off and you guys can run around the woods patting each other on the back telling yourselves you are the elite force you think you are.

As far as what I expect from you Robert; I've done quite a bit of research about you and I don't expect anything from you. See because you want all the glory but you don't want to make the sacrifices to get it. See I have gone into other's houses with their rules, their home teams and their friends as refs and still walked out the winner. And I don't just mean Tactical Paintball. I have travelled this country playing in many different promoters, I have commanded in CA, PA, CO, GA, FL, IN, IL, TX, AR, NV and AZ. I have served at the highest levels on the command staffs of William Shatner, Maurice Gibb, Tom Kaye and others. I have made a name for myself as my team and trust me when I say it isn't for playing in the grey area as you keep trying to define us as.

So with that said, the ball is really in your court. You might want to try and smoothing things over with Viper and showing that you can bring the numbers you need to play the game. Because the reality is that with your whining from SGOT and your loss at Tactical, I just don't know what Viper regulars would support you in your game. You would call them cheaters or grey area players if they came to you with any tactics.

The messed up part is that I cannot command unless there is a capable commander on the other side or one who can recruit a decent force and build a decent command staff. And here you go and take a giant crap on that as well. Maybe you should have just said no rather then sabotaging the whole thing. I might not have thought you were scared to play in a game with rules, by refs who enforce the rules and promoter who isn't afraid to make people follow those rules and determine what is the grey area or not and do it then and there not 3 days after the game call people and tell them who won to try and keep people to come to a game.

That should be obvious based on the fact that it appears that Viper just basically told you to stay where you are. Guess your numbers don't matter to people with some integrity.

I think I pointed out in the above post that you are wrong in your statement of Viper's field in Mt Pleasant being the only field I can play on. You've never played in a real scenario game and I have played in over 165. And that doesn't include 8 hour games, 12 hour games or big games. I have produced 8 hour games, 12 hour games and 24 hour games. So I think I have probably forgotten more about scenario paintball then you will ever know.
