Between our three members we have:

ironman timmy
two vision impulses
two tricked cockers

remember the gun doesn't make the player. The first time I went to black mountain paintball me and my buddy were both shootin' imps and we got owned by a team with spyders. (no b.s.) have faith in your gun.

or Bad Company. they use amg's
tippman effect uses... you guessed it. TIPPMANS. they did so well they won this years IAO. and bad company has cosistently placed in the top five of the Supper 7's.

it's about the players...two things...communication and aggressiveness. now when two teams are evenly matched in skill, I'm a firm believer that the better equipment will break the tie.

a majority of the hrl teams (75-80%) shoot electric guns. this includes spyders. i have never been one to believe the gun's the thing hype. th epic contract says that you must have a WORKING gun that the team feels comfortable with. where the gun comes into play is the working part. tons of guns shoot insanely fast in the staging area, but most can't shoot paint.
my suggestion is play with whatever gun you have until your gun is holding back your skill's growth. (by the way, that usually doesn't happen, but everybody thinks it happens with in a month. )

We play with two Spyder Imagines and a Silver Bullet. We pretty much get a butts handed to us, but I think that is a matter of skill and experience rather than the guns. But we are having a ton of fun every tournament!!!

The only advantage to a more expensive gun is faster firing. I've played w/ a spider, an imp, gz, angel, cocker, eblade cocker, and still keep going back to my imp. It's all a matter of personal preference. I think the greatest advantage to a higher end gun is a more adjustable trigger pull. I hated my spider for that....

i am a firm believer in skill over gun. i played with rental guns for alomost 1 1/2 years before i bought a black dragun. all you little guys that shoot low end guns and see some guy ripping on his angel in the chrono don't get scared and think he is good just play your heart out everytime u get on the field.

Well just to throw in my thoughts about this, I'd like to say the same thing Jeff stated. The gun does not make the player , as long as the gun shoots paint and shoots it straight theres nothing to worry about. But then you come down to the rate of fire of cockers compared to Intimidators or Matrixs. OC shoots nothing but Intimidators and MAtrixs because of the rate of fire of the guns. Well im bored sitting in the library at school. See everyone around.
