Since the first event is in late August, we know it will be bloody hot!
I've discussed it with Tank and we agree that we'll losen the restriction on long sleeved shirts for the HRL for the first event.

You can play in short sleeves but you still must wear long pants.

Bring lots of liquids and stay hydrated! :)

lessons in staying hidrated...

1)lots of water
2)take your jersey off when possible
3)keep cool towels around your head in the stagein area
4)eat somthing healthy
5)tank has a shower put your head underneath it as much as possible

there now wear your jerseys...

dont drink too much water after or in between games. if you drink too much you WILL feel like crap on the field and you wont be able to run and stuff. front players beware. after sliding you'll wanna throw up. lol.

how about dunkin beanies or rags in water then kinda squeezin the water out of the front part (so it doesnt get in ur eyes) and then wearin it..

hopefully its semi overcast so it isnt brutal out there.

Here's the real trick to preventing a heat stroke...

Drink alot of water & gatorade the week before the tourney.

Drink water throughout the day of the tourney.

Never Never Never pour cold water on your head or body the day of the tourney... luke-warm water cools you off as it evaporates off your skin; cold water sends your body into mild shock and makes your body temp go through the roof.

Oh yeah, try to get games over within 35 seconds so you can go spend more time in the shade between games. Thats about it.

Here is wat to do:

1. Get a pickup truck, Tarp and water
2. Put Tarp in the Truck Bed so some of it hangs over the side of the truck bed on all sides
3. Pour Water in middle of tarp
4. TA DA, u have a swimmin pool.

Optional: Bring a beach umbrella and stick it somewhere for shade.

I did this at a texans game w/ friends and tailgatin. Screw the seats, we got a pool

Heat stroke is no fun....actually it sucks pretty bad. I had heat stroke and it took a month to get right from it. The Dr. said now that I have had it I am can get it again real easy. The best thing to drink is actually Pedialite (sp) for babies it actually replaces electrolites where as Gatorade does not help as much as people think. LOTS of water!!!! Just be smart and do whatever it takes to stay cool.

Here is what you do
1. Buy a like a tennis head band
2. Soak it in water
3. Freeze it
4. Sport it while playin pball
Therefore you look agg and stay cool.

Academy sells those cool wraps that you can wear around your neck, you soak them in water and the gel expands and they help a lot.
